L’Orfeo

Inspired by a combination of ancient greek architecture, brutalism, and colour, the design creates the setting of Thrace & Hades as vivid transformative worlds through the perspective of Orfeo’s emotions and psyche.

The inspiration for the costumes pulls directly from the textures and colours of the set & lighting to create an all-encompassing visual dramaturgy. By using contemporary silhouettes and contrasts in the colour palette, the interpretation appears timeless yet energetic.
